PONTE VEDRA BEACH, Florida—PGA TOUR Latinoamérica announced Thursday that Volvo Car Latin America, Hilton and Go Vacaciones have become premier partners of the PGA TOUR’s international tour, the premier professional golf organization in Latin America. Volvo Car Latin America, Hilton and Go Vacaciones will be category-exclusive partners beginning January 2019. The sponsorship program is designed to integrate the three Partners’ brands into the messaging of PGA TOUR Latinoamérica as the Tour tells the story of its players, tournaments, alumni and community engagement in the countries where competitions are held. In turn, Volvo Car Latin America, Hilton and Go Vacaciones will receive brand-official designations and the rights to the PGA TOUR Latinoamérica marks as it communicates its messaging with the Tour as a backdrop.

“The PGA TOUR is committed to excellence and doing things the right way. The past few years as PGA TOUR Latinoamérica has firmly established itself on the Latin America sports landscape, it has been an incredible exercise in market development, focusing specifically on creating a strong, sustainable Tour in that part of the world,” said Jack Warfield, PGA TOUR Latinoamérica President. “With nearly 150 of our players moving on and achieving Web.com Tour or PGA TOUR membership, our strong, year-long tournament schedule this season and significant reach on media platforms both internally and externally, it was time to allow Premier Partners to take advantage of all that PGA TOUR Latinoamérica has to offer.”

Though the partnership framework is uniform, each Premier Partner can fully leverage the PGA TOUR Latinoamérica brand, its worldwide media distribution and first-class hosting assets at the best professional golf events in Latin America. PGA TOUR Latinoamérica anticipates additional companies will join as Premier Partners going forward, the Tour’s goal to engage with partners in growing the program while continuously delivering value to the three original Premier Partners. This program builds on the successes of other partners in the region including but not limited to JHSF, Rolex, Bodega Garzon, Technogym, Zurich and Bupa have enjoyed by partnering with the PGA TOUR in Latin America.

“PGA TOUR Latinoamérica is a great platform to reach our target consumers and engage our current customers. In Latin America, we know that golf is a sport that is very connected to premium audiences and provides us an excellent opportunity to be closer to them,” said Marcelo Kronemberger, Managing Director Volvo Car Latin America Importers. “The Premier Partnership starting in 2019 will help us in promoting our brand across the region. I am sure our retailers will endorse and enjoy it, as well.”
“It is an honor to be part of PGA TOUR Latinoamérica as a Premier Partner,” said Erika Garcia, CEO of Go Vacaciones. “Go Vacaciones is a cutting-edge, vacation-experience company that allows individuals and families to see the best Mexico has to offer and having this amazing platform will allow us to further our reach across the region. In addition, we are very excited that this platform will allow us to engage in the communities through charitable efforts, extending the incredible legacy of the sport of golf.”

“Hilton is thrilled to partner with a successful company like the PGA TOUR Latinoamérica,” said Andrew Flack, Vice President Regional Marketing and eCommerce Americas. “We offer more than 100 hotels in the region across nine brands, all with outstanding facilities and quality service that guests deserve. We look forward to welcoming players, staff, tournament attendees and golf lovers to our properties. We’re excited to build a strong and long-lasting relationship and to support the Tour and its efforts across Latin America.”

PGA TOUR Latinoamérica completed its seventh season in 2018 and just recently held its first of four Qualifying Tournaments that will help determine 2019 membership for the upcoming season.
“This is an exciting time for golf in Latin America, and we’re thrilled to be a part of all that is happening in the region. To have these three Premier Partners working alongside us will only serve to strengthen and accentuate the good things that are already happening with PGA TOUR Latinoamérica,” Warfield added.
