Real Madrid Trips to Sevilla, Atletico and PSG await
After a difficult start to the season, the month of September brings greater challenges for Real Madrid.
Zinedine Zidane‘s side face trips to the Estadio Ramon Sanchez-Pizjuan (September 22) and the Estadio Wanda Metropolitano (September 28) in LaLiga Santander.
Coincidently, at this point in time Sevilla and Atletico Madrid hold the top two spots in the league and present huge tests for Los Blancos in their current form.
Real Madrid haven’t won away at Sevilla since the 2014/15 campaign and have lost on each of their last four league visits there.
Sevilla boss Julen Lopetegui was in charge of Los Blancos for their last visit to Nervion – a 3-0 defeat at the start of last season.
Real Madrid do have happier memories of their last trip to the Estadio Wanda Metropolitano, having beaten Atletico 3-1 in February.
Los Rojiblancos are yet to beat their city rivals at their new stadium, with the only previous meeting ending in a goalless draw.
Before either of those two fixtures is a trip to Paris to take on Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League on September 18.
These three matches could prove to be crucial to Real Madrid‘s chances of silverware both domestically and in Europe.
