Barcelona There were negotiations in January
Willian Jose remains Barcelona‘s priority target to strengthen their attack following Ousmane Dembele‘s injury and Real Sociedad have already informed the Blaugrana that he is valued at 35 million euros.
Although there is no official offer for the Brazilian striker, the two clubs entered into negotiations back in January.
Barcelona approached Real Sociedad after a deal with Valencia over Rodrigo Moreno fell through.
The Catalan side are willing to pay 23 million euros plus bonuses for Willian Jose, who also attracted interest from teams such as Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur, Newcastle and West Ham.
Barcelona president Josep Bartomeu already knows that he will have to spend around 35m euros to sign the player and it remains to be seen whether he will give the green light.
Meanwhile, Willian Jose is not the team’s only option, as they have also tracked Lucas Perez, Angel Rodriguez, Luis Suarez and Loren Moron.
As soon as they get the Spanish Football Federation’s approval to proceed with a striker’s transfer, Barcelona will move fast to sign the player soon.
The new signing won’t be available for Barcelona‘s game against Getafe on Saturday, but he may be at Quique Setien‘s disposal for the match against Eibar.
