LaLiga Santander Planning for the summer
It’s easy to talk about potential departures and arrivals at Real Madrid, but the reality of contracts and time make things more difficult that they would otherwise seem.
Players like Marco Asensio, Alvaro Odriozola, Toni Kroos and Raphael Varane are seen as recoverable, albeit not in their best form, while others like Isco and Gareth Bale are viewed differently and there are more doubts about their respective futures.
The club are calm and will analyse things player by player, taking a look at what they have done for the club and what they can still contribute.
Of course, there will be departures, but not at any price, the same rule will apply for any potential arrivals. The club’s plan of incorporating youth remains, but maybe not quite as young as Vinicius Junior.
With Eder Militao already guaranteed, Madrid want a central defender, a left-back, two midfielders and a striker.
As was true last week, the club want to finalise their shortlist sooner rather than later and to get business taken care of earlier than they usually do, before the competition intensifies in the summer.
