Barcelona Not eager to swap players
It won’t be easy for Barcelona to sign Neymar this summer as Paris Saint-Germain value their superstar at no less than 222 million euros.
The reigning Ligue 1 champions are willing to recover the money they spent on the Brazilian a couple of seasons ago and are not interested in a deal that involves Philippe Coutinho or Ousmane Dembele at the moment.
PSG coach Thomas Tuchel is in search of a defensive midfielder and as MARCA has already reported, Real Madrid’s Casemiro tops the German’s list.
However, should Barcelona offer Ivan Rakitic plus cash, in exchange for Neymar, PSG could enter into negotiations with the Catalans.
With Antoine Griezmann on the verge of signing for the Blaugrana, the club don’t have the financial muscle to meet Paris Saint-Germain‘s demands, while Real Madrid are no longer interested in signing of the 27-year-old.
Manchester United could have been an option for the Brazil international, should Paul Pogba depart this summer, but the Red Devils won’t feature in the Champions League next season.
Barcelona president Josep Maria Bartomeu has claimed that the Catalans have made no offer for Neymar, but the LaLiga Santander champions are expected to initiate talks with the French club in the coming weeks.
The Blaugrana are currently looking to cash in from player departures to boost their budget and invest the money to a potential deal for the Brazilian.
