Neymar Case The woman who accused Neymar of rape has spoken
Najila Trindade, the woman who has accused Neymar of rape, has told her side of the story and explained the ordeal she has been suffering since her identity was revealed.
Neymar publicly addressed the allegations with a social media video almost immediately after they became public knowledge, showing the entirety of their text conversations both before and after the alleged incident occurred.
“I don’t think now is a good time to keep talking and exposing myself,” Trindade said in an interview with Domingo Espectacular.
“I need to recover. I’m not well. I have panic attacks and I can’t take care of my own son.
“I don’t sleep, I don’t eat, and I’ve lost 10 kilos in the last week.”
Evidently distressed, Trindade had to take a number of breaks as she told her story, while also trying to avoid talking about the player in order to focus on pleading for her own privacy to be respected.
“I’ve suffered from a lot of crimes,” she said.
“Me and my family have been persecuted. They’ve come into my apartment, they’ve stolen many valuable things including my son’s laptop.
“They’re slandering me, inventing things about me.”
Asked what she would change if she could, Trindade explained that she wouldn’t have made her Instagram profile public, which is how she came into contact with the player.
“If I hadn’t reactivated my Instagram profile, if I had it private and deactivated since January, my life would be at peace now,” she explained.
