Real Madrid First time on the training pitches since injury
Real Madrid and Marco Asensio can see the light at the end of the tunnel, the Spanish international is inching ever close to a return to football as he made his first foray onto the Valdebebas training pitch this week.
Whilst Los Blancos celebrated their triumphant trip to Saudi Arabia for the Supercopa de Espana, Asensio was preparing to achieve a feat of his own.
It was as recently as pre-season when the former Real Mallorca star ruptured both his anterior cruciate ligament and the external meniscus in his left knee, yet he is already eyeing a return to competitive action this term.
Whilst Asensio has been working, he has uploaded several images of his return to individual training on his social media profiles, and this latest stage of his recovering is encouraging to say the least.
He isn’t yet comfortable working with either a ball or his teammates, but the fact he has the physical strength to jog and work is pleasing.
