DETROIT, Michigan – Nate Lashley, the 2016 PGA TOUR Latinoamérica Player of the Year, had a stellar week at the Rocket Mortgage Classic to secure his first career win on the PGA TOUR. The 36-year old from Nebraska entered the final round in control after rounds of 63-67-63 and posted a 70 to finish the week at 25-under 263. He ended up winning by six strokes to become the fifth PGA TOUR Latinoamérica alum to win on the PGA TOUR this year.
“I’m just thankful I got in the tournament,” said the man who slipped into the PGA TOUR’s first event in Detroit as an alternate on Wednesday.
