Nikola Kalinic is finally set to leave Atletico Madrid as he closes in on a move to Roma.
The Croatian striker wasn’t included in Diego Simeone‘s squad that spent pre-season in the United States and Mexico this summer.
Kalinic will join Roma on loan initially, with the Italian club having the opportunity to make his move permanent for seven to eight million euros at the end of the season.
With Patrik Schick on his way to RB Leipzig, there is room for another striker in Roma‘s squad.
Kalinic trained with his Atletico teammates on Saturday at the Estadio Wanda Metropolitano, but did not complete the session after news came out that his loan move was all but done.
