GUILFORD — There have been IRS scams, social security scams, grandparent scams and more. And now police are warning residents of a new scam hitting Guilford — the Immigration and Customs Enforcement scam.
“Homeland Security and ICE Agents will never shake you down for money, sexual favors or merchandise to fix your immigration issues, extend your visa or provide you a green card,” police said. “We do not want anyone to fall victim to this no matter your immigration status.”
Police said anyone who has been victimized by this scan can anonymously report it to the ICE hotline at 1-866-347-2423.
Call 203-453-8061 to file a report on any of these scams or to ask police questions.
