– Gareth Bale would not be opposed to returning to Tottenham Hotspur, should the English side make a proposal for the Welshman.
– Atletico Madrid are dreaming of signing Benfica prodigy Joao Felix as they look to replace Antoine Griezmann. It will not be a simple task, though, as Benfica are unwilling to negotiate and have pointed Los Rojiblancos towards his 120 million euro release clause.
– Borja Valero could return to Spain and Getafe have shown an interest in signing the Inter playmaker. The 34-year-old has rejected several offers from China.
– Barcelona goalkeeper Jasper Cillessen has been linked with Manchester United.
– Robert Lewandowski could leave Bayern Munich, with both Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain monitoring his situation. The Pole’s contract with the German giants comes to an end in 2021.
– Everything continues to point towards Antoine Griezmann joining Barcelona. Both Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain cannot afford to sign the 28-year-old.
– Juventus confirm that Massimiliano Allegri will leave as head coach in the summer.
– Ajax sign Matthijs de Ligt’s replacement: Lisandro Martinez, a 21-year-old centre-back for Defensa y Justicia.
20:45. Ajax seem to have already signed Matthijs de Ligt’s replacement after completing a move for Defensa y Justicia centre-back Lisandro Martinez. The 21-year-old Argentine will travel to the Netherlands in the coming hours to undergo a medical before signing his contract. It is worth remembering that Ajax also signed Argentine centre-back Lisandro Magallan in January, a defender for Boca Juniors in their run to the Copa Libertadores final.

Benfica have not offered Portuguese prodigy Joao Felix a new contract, despite his breakout season, according to club president Luis Felipe Vieira. “He has a five-year contract and we don’t need to offer him a new deal,” he said. “He has a release clause of 120 million euros and that is why we are not worried.”
19:55. Xavi Hernandez does not want to become Barcelona head coach just yet. “I don’t see myself [coaching Barcelona] yet as I can’t start my career as a coach of Barcelona’s first team, it’s not normal,” said Xavi. “I must prove myself as a coach and start from scratch. It would be too quick to go back to Barcelona, or to coach a LaLiga [Santander] team. It’s obviously my objective to enjoy myself at Barcelona [as head coach one day], but I have to be very prepared and it’s not the time yet.”
19:27. Sylvinho is set to become Lyon’s next head coach. Current incumbent Bruno Genesio will leave the club in the summer, and Sylvinho, who has been Tite’s assistant with Brazil until today, May 17, will be the personal bet of Lyon’s new sporting director, Juninho Pernambucano.
19:10. Manchester United have made their first contact with Fulham over the signing of Ryan Sessegnon, according to Sky Sports. The 19-year-old is also wanted by Tottenham Hotspur and Juventus, but the Red Devils are, as Sky Sports report, the current favourites.
18:50. Quique Setien will take charge of Real Betis’ clash against Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabeu on Sunday, but his future beyond that is unclear.
18:05. Everton are considering a move for Fulham striker Aleksandar Mitrovic, report Sky Sports. The Serbian wants to continue playing in the Premier League after Fulham’s relegation to the Championship.
17:45. Chelsea want to sign David Neres. The Premier League side expect their transfer ban to be lifted, temporarily at least, and they will look to sign the Ajax phenomenon. They may have to battle for his signature as Paris Saint-Germain, Arsenal and Liverpool are all interested in the 22-year-old.
17:30. Getafe are interested in signing Daniele Verde, who is currently on loan at Real Valladolid from Roma, according to the journalist Gianluca Di Marzio. The Madrid could face competition from Copenhagen after the Danes have engaged in negotiations with the Italian winger.
5.20pm. According to Sky Sports in England, Real Madrid’s move for Jovic is done. Eintracht and Real Madrid have apparently reached an agreement for the transfer for a fee of 60 million euros.
4.15pm. PSG boss Tuchel has dismissed reports that the club are planning a bid for Antoine Griezmann: “Griezmann can play with all the teams in the world,” Tuchel said at a press conference “At the moment, it is not realistic.”
3.15pm. PSG are yet to clarify the future of defender Dani Alves whose deal ends in June. The Brazilian has not accepted an offer of an extension from Nasser Al-Khelaifi and could leave for free in the summer.
3.01pm. Pep Guardiola has made it clear that he will not be going to Juventus: “I’m not going to Juventus or Italy, I have two more years on my contract, and I’m not going to move from here, I’m happy and I’m not going anywhere, next season I’ll be the coach of Manchester City.”
2.23pm. Sky Sports have made a list of their top 10 rumours of the day.
2.15pm. Bayern Munich executive vice-president Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has clarified to Bild that the club haven’t yet made a decision on the future of coach Nico Kovac. The German giants are yet to secure the Bundesliga title, which they can do this weekend.
1.47pm. After months of speculation and a stand off with Inter, Mauro Icardi has revealed he intends to stay with the club after releasing a post on Instagram.
13.05pm. Big news coming out of Serie A! Juventus have confirmed that Massimiliano Allegri will leave the club at the end of the season. Full story.
12.41pm. Mainz 05 have confirmed the signing of 20-year-old Polish striker Marco Drawz. The player arrives as a free agent from Hamburg and has penned a deal until June 2023.
12.31pm. Paris Saint-Germain are not just hoping to sign established stars for next season, they are also looking at young prospects like Ryan Sessegnon. The 18-year-old Fulham player, according to The Telegraph, is wanted by the Ligue 1 champions.
12.10pm. Europa League finalists Arsenal are ready to make an offer for Gremio defender Walter Kannemann, according to the Daily Star. The player is also interesting Inter and Sampdoria.
11.55am. Robert Lewandowski could end his career with Bayern Munch as he has a contract until 2021, but both Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester United are keen to give him one last European adventure, according to Kicker.
11.31am. With Jasper Cillessen on his way out of Barcelona this summer, it looks like there will be a host of teams after his signature. The Daily Record say that Manchester United are eyeing a move for the goalkeeper as a replacement for David De Gea. Full story here.

10.46am. An old acquaintance of Spanish football could be set to return, as Borja Valero may be on his way to Getafe. After spending seven years in Italy, and rejecting an offer to go to China, the midfielder seems destined for LaLiga Santander.
10.23am. According to the Corriere dello Sport, Inter are looking to make to midfield additions this summer. Daniele De Rossi who is set to leave Roma, and Arsneal’s Xhaka.

9.48am. Gareth Bale’s future at Real Madrid looks even more uncertain with Pablo Parra updating us on the latest developments. The Welshman isn’t happy and has met with his agent to discuss the summer. It’s been decided that if an offer from Tottenham came in, it wouldn’t be a bad move to sign for the club. He is also looking to get his future resolved as soon as possible, as he doesn’t want months of speculation.
9.42am. Manchester United are continually linked with players it seems as another summer reconstruction is set to start. According to The Sun, Crystal Palace duo Aaron wan Bissaka and Patrick van Aanholt could both be on their way to Old Trafford.
9.35am. Massimiliano Allegri is looking to have a mini-revolution at Juventus this summer, with the full-backs an area of particular concern, say Tuttosport. Meunier and Mendy, who is also wanted by Real Madrid, have been targeted.In addition Paulo Dybala has asked to leave the Bianconeri.
