Morocco 0-1 Argentina Scored seven minutes from the end
Argentina were able to get back to winning ways on Tuesday night after defeating Morocco 1-0 with Angel Correa scoring the game’s only goal in the 83rd minute.
The Albiceleste suffered an embarrassing 3-1 defeat to Venezuela at the Wanda Metropolitano on Lionel Messi‘s long-awaited return to the side, and they were without the Barcelona captain for the Morocco friendly after he picked up a groin injury.
Tuesday’s match in Tangier had horrible winds, yet Correa was the game’s decisive player, ahead of the likes of Paulo Dybala, Lautaro Martinez and Leandro Paredes, as his goal restored some of the confidence that had been lost on Friday night.
Having said that, the Correa goal was practically Argentina‘s only clear chance in the whole match, something that will do little to dampen the pessimism that surrounds the side ahead of this summer’s Copa America in Brazil.
