Real Madrid goalkeeper Keylor Navas has renewed his contract with the club for an extra year, taking his new deal to June 2021.
The Costa Rican has fallen out of favour since the arrival of Thibaut Courtois and, since the appointment of Santiago Solari as head coach, his minutes have dwindled further.
The TV show ‘Jugones’ on LaSexta broke the news and it has now been confirmed by MARCA.
Navas signed the contract a few weeks ago and he will earn five million euros net per season; negotiations had been going on since Los Blancos‘ tour of the United States in the summer.
This also confirms that the 32-year-old will not be going anywhere in January.
Although his situation at the club is not perfect right now, both Navas and his family have perfectly adapted to the club and the city of Madrid.
